HPU540 Paediatric/ Adolescent Unit describes operational, functional and design requirements for an inpatient unit to manage babies, toddlers, and children and adolescents up to 16 years. The Unit is designed to reflect the varying physical and psychological needs of these age groups.
An updated revision of HPU540 Paediatric/ Adolescent Unit (Revision 5, 1 March 2016) has been uploaded. This revision reflects only minor changes that have been necessary to ensure consistency across all documents. Changes include:
- reformatting of the SoA include codes and a uniform naming convention
- a new simplified numbering system to replace existing clause codes
