The Plaster Room allows for the application of plaster of paris, or other splints, and the closed reduction of displaced fractures or dislocations under sedative or regional anaesthesia. Typically a dedicated room is provided for high volume services, otherwise, a generic Treatment Room may be used with the inclusion of a plaster trap and other related equipment.
This Standard Component has been reviewed, redocumented and reissued. These changes include findings from recent projects and post occupancy evaluations. In most cases, the changes are significant.
