Additional Design Considerations:

• The bay should deep enough to ensure that equipment does not impede adjacent corridor circulation. Design and location of bay should allow for intermittent use without significant disruption to circulation in adjacent corridor.
• Grab rails for patient stability may be provided and may be either integral to the scales or wall mounted.
