Following extensive consultation with clinical and technical experts, the following resources have been updated:
Nuclear Medicine / PET Standard Components
Changes include updating rooms to reflect contemporary operational models, equipment and design requirements and to support patient accessibility and staff safety. A new Uptake Room Standard Component has been created at an area size of 10m2 to account for indicative wall thickness/shielding requirements. All room names and sizes have been updated to align with the recently updated HPU 500 Nuclear Medicine / PET Unit.
The updated/new Standard Components include:
- PET-CT – PET-CT Imaging Room
- SPECT-CTR – SPCT-CT Control Room
- SPECT-CT – SPECT-CT Imaging Room
- UTRM – Uptake Room (new)
Staff Workplace Standard Components
Rooms have been updated to reflect contemporary operational models, FFE and design requirements and to support staff safety and amenity.
The updated/new Standard Components include:
- MEET-9 - Meeting Room, 9m2
- MEET-15 - Meeting Room, 15m2
- MEET-20 - Meeting Room, 20m2 (previously MEET-L-20)
- MEET-30 - Meeting Room, 30m2 (previously MEET-L-30)

- OFF-1P-9 - Office - 1 Person, 9m2 (previously OFF-S9)

Public Areas Standard Components
A number of Standard Components have been updated and some have been retired, reflecting contemporary models of care, equipment and current staff work practices.
The updated/new Standard Components include:
- AIRLE-6 - Airlock - Entry, 6m2
- AIRLE-12 - Airlock - Entry, 12m2
- BVM - Bay - Vending Machine (previously BVM-3)
- BWTR - Bay - Water Fountain (previously BWD-1)
- PAR - Parenting Room
- PLAY - Play Area – Paediatric (previously PLAP-10)
- WAIT-S - Waiting, Sub (previously WAIT-SUB)
- WAIT-10 - Waiting, 10m2
- WAIT-20 - Waiting, 20m2
- WAIT-30 - Waiting, 30m2
The following Standard Components have been retired:
- BATM-2 - Bay - ATM, 2m2
- BPH - Bay - Public Telephone
- PLAP-20 - Play Area - Paediatric, 20m2
- WAIT-50 - Waiting, 50m2
Pathology Standard Components
Changes include updates to room names to clarify the rooms’ function. Updates were also made to the room layouts and fit outs to better accommodate equipment and improve staff and patient access. All room names and sizes have been updated to align with the recently updated HPU 550 Pathology Unit.
The updated/new Standard Components include:
- BPATH - Bay - Pathology Point of Care Testing (POCT)
- BPTS - Bay - Pneumatic Tube
- PBSC - Patient Bay - Specimen Collection (previously SPECC)
- AHBF - After Hours Blood Fridge (previously AHBBF)
- BBLD - Bay - Blood Fridge (previously BLST)
The following Standard Components have been retired:
- CLUP-P - Clean-Up Room (Pathology), 12m2
- SPREC - Specimen Reception/Sort/Preparation

Due to a model update that is in progress, an updated version of the AusHFG Revit Model cannot be provided at this time. The following Resources do NOT yet reflect the above changes to Standard Components:
